Esselon cafe is an award winning café featuring fresh roasted coffee, rare and exotic teas, and a full menu. Esselon is centrally located between Amherst and Northampton, on Route 9 on The Common in Hadley, MA, with ample parking. Esselon offers outdoor dining during the Spring, Summer and Fall months in our gardens. You’ll love the casual atmosphere, the rich décor, and our friendly, upbeat staff. Esselon’s menu and daily specials are prepared fresh daily, including dressings and sauces, with many ingredients from local and organic farmers. Our meats are fresh and local including turkey, NY strip, roast beef, and burger from neighboring farms. We also have vegetarian and vegan friendly menu options. Esselon’s pride is our artisan roasted coffees, roasted on-site twice a week, ensuring a fresh cup of some of the finest coffee every time. We also offer lattes, cappuccinos, and some of the best espresso in the world. Our tea menu is extensive, featuring high-quality local medicinal teas, exotic and rare herbals, Green Tea, White Tea, and Black Tea. We also have a substantial wine menu and a great beer selection including BBC beer, Opa-Opa and High & Mighty. For on-the-go patrons, Esselon offers pastries, baked goods, and fresh sandwiches from our case. We open at 7:00 am daily, so commuters have time for a sit-down breakfast, or to grab a bagel and fresh-roasted coffee to go. Esselon also accepts phone in to go orders for your convenience. On Friday and Saturday evenings, Esselon offers live acoustic and vocal artists from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. On Saturday and Sunday, join us for our popular brunch menu available from 8:00 – 3:00 pm, featuring cage-free local eggs, eggs benedict, pancakes, Challah French Toast, and more.
