Pu-erh is truly a wonderful tea. It is the only true fermented tea and like wine can age well. It is produced in the southwest region of Yunnan China where many believe tea manufacture originated.

There are two types of Pu-erh, raw or cooked. Raw puerh is not oxidized where cooked puerh is oxidized. Some pu-erh is pressed into cakes called beeng cha while some are left as loose leaf tea.
